Emergency Braking Tips

The following are a set of motorcycle emergency braking tips:

  1. Apply both brakes to their maximum without actually locking the brakes up.
  2. Keep the bike upright and moving in a straight line.
  3. If you lock the front brake simply release for a split second then reapply without locking them up again.
  4. If you lock the rear brakes it is ok because you can still remain in control of the bike if your handlebars are kept in a straight line.

It is best to practice your emergency braking in an empty parking lot.
