Before you take your motorcycle out on the road you should be performing the following pre-ride checklist:

1. Check the tires.
2. Check the controls.
3. Check the lights.
4. Check the oil and fuel levels.
5. Check the chain for proper tension.
6. Ensure your kickstand is up and remains up.
7. Check the brakes.
