How do you counter steer? or how should you even do a turn properly? I took the msf course last weekend (1st half) and this is how my instructor taught me. When approaching the turn, dont use the clutch, just gently break using the front brake, look where you want to go, lean, and turn, then apply throttle. NGK cr7hix 7544 (iridium ix ) only last 3,000 miles before i 90% lose power . NGK c7hsa only last 500 to 750 miles before it stops all the way. what can i do to extend plug life i tried a iridium plug and only get 3,000 miles. I do not know what to do to get more plug life is this normal for scooters? any advice will help. I took the thing to the repair place and he can not find a problem with nothing. This clown told me this is normal i don't think so. what can i do to fix this problem? if you own a scooter and can do a you-tube video to show me some thing i can fix this will help me out. I burn shell #93 gas change oil every 1,000 miles and gear oil every 1,000 miles. checked the belt it turns fine and no tears the plugs come out black every time i change them out. full of carbon i use gun out every 2,000 to 3,000 miles. i have 6,000 miles on it now. installed a rev limit remover chip and a high performance coil for more performance it works great. but the plugs keep on failing. i change the plugs out and it works perfect again until 3,000 miles for a the ix iridium and 500 miles for the soft ngk c7hsa. i start to lose power every 1,250 to 1500 miles when i use gun out it seems to help then the plug quits at 3,000 miles or 500 miles for soft ngk. well the other plug did not quit it is just it can only do around 10 mph wide open. when i replaced it i get 45 to 60 again. any idea what is going on here. i need some advice how to fix this problem. if it is too rich how do i change that? i wish there was a video to show me on you-tube. they always are black and full of soot. hi my yamaha aerox has very poor power and it has alot of white/blueish smoke from the exhaust not coolant! and it gets very hot and steam comes from the engine just from going down the street it has a 75 jet in carb and stage 6 pro rep exhaust could it be running lean? everything else is standard. its 2008 model and 8,000 miles on the clock p.s it has a full tank of coolant and no airlocks. it is very hard to start when left for about a week i have to put petrol in the head for it to fire. Hi guys, I'd like to purchase a new bike in a couple of months. My specifications are these: 1. Mileage - arnd 50 or more 2. Good pick-up 3. Not too much maintenance - (i heard apache has maintenance issues ) 4. Decent looks - ( I dont like the looks of pulsar and unicorn dazzler ) 5. Budget - around 75K ( give or take 5k ) 6. Good service providers. 7. Anything other than CB twister or pulsar, since my brother is buying a CB twister and I just don't like pulsar. 8. I own a stock 09 Kawasaki Ninja 650r and I do not know if the muffler has a scilencer. I think it does because it is not loud at all! If it does, is the scilencer a seperate piece from the actual muffler and exhaust system. I.E. can I remove the scilencer without making modifications to the exhuast and have the bike perform as intended. I changed the spark plugs on my 07 gsxr 600 the other day. the plugs are underneath the air box which is underneath the gas tank. The other day when I changed out my sparkplugs, there was an area in what seemed to be the frame, in front of the air box, that was full of “stuffing” I thought this was a mouse nest and I removed all of it through these two small holes but now everytime after driving it for a few minutes something in the front end smells like its burning. The past couple days driving in the rain the front end was smoking pretty bad but I thought this was just the rain hitting the hot headers. That “stuffing” wasn’t some kind of insulation was it? How much do you think I will top out? I will take a wild guess maybe about 50mph-60mph? If I transfer this 125cc engine from this Honda dirt bike to my Honda ruckus. Good thing they are both Honda's so it should fit with no problems, right now on my 49cc I am doing about 40mph so with this 125cc it should hit about near my wild guess correct? standing 5'7 weighing 110-115pounds. Hi, I've recently bought a new chrome mini Speedo for my XJ600 street-fighter, it currently has a small Speedo on that is basicly the same but only goes up to 80mph and it's a bit of a cheap one, anyway my question is that the old Speedo has 1 brown wire and 1 green wire, the new one has 1 black and 1 red, just to make sure do I wire the black to green as I think they're both earth, and red to brown? However I don't know if I will be able to ride it to the movies or anything like that. Will I be able to obtain my m2 at that age? I'm definitely buying a motorcycle, most likely on Friday. It's my first bike, first time riding a bike besides a friends Honda dirtbike a couple times. I've read some reviews and research on these bikes and it seems the more I read the more undecided I become. The CBR250r is $4,099 new, the Ninja 250r $4,459 new. I also know that the CBR gets better gas mileage and is fuel injected but is a single cylinder but everyone says the Ninja is faster/sportier. I'd mostly be using it as a commuter bike, driving to work and just cruising around. I'm also a woman, 5'2'' and 135lbs. But active, in shape and decently strong so the weight isn't that big of a deal and I'll need a lowering kit with either bike. Just looking for some more opinions from more experienced riders than me! I'm taking a basic riders course/motorcycle safety course Monday and Tuesday, so I'm signed up and ready to go for that. I also have read quite a few times that once you get comfortable it's easy to "outgrow" the bike. I don't want to buy a bike and then be left with wanting more after a few months. Granted I'm not buying one to race around and drive fast on, it's dangerous enough as it is! Oh and helmet and proper safety gear is a no-brainer for me. So I ride my moped 50cc 2 stroke for like 20 mins to the town I turn it of like mormul lock everything go shops have a walk come back turn the moped on press the start button it don't start it just turns over and over so I have to carry a spark plug tool take the spark plug out turn the engine over a couple times put the plug back in the turn it Oer it starts I have full battery power I have all my correct oils in the moped everythin works fine can anyone tell me the problem ? It's sometimes embrassig having to take two panels off to get to my spark plug them doo all this while people just watch while they go past please help when I look at the spark plug it's like rusty colour like normal not wet not super dry dry if you get what I mean, the plug ain't oily or anything has a good spark this was a new 2 weeks okay spark plug so I can't be the plug im putting super unleaded in now to see I that helps but yeah any ideas ? Hi all i baught my vivacity yesterday all went well, my idicators wouldnt stop flashin, Even when i cancelled it, that seems to have fixed itself lol, my headlights and back lights dont work at all but my brake lights do!! i dont know weather its the bulb or the fuse, but if it was the bulb, why dont the back light work?? confusing!! i know the front bulbs are gone coz there black wich means they've gone, but back ones still look in good condition, i just dont see why they wont turn on, Thanks for reading, any ideas as to why this is happeneing, all comments appreciated really need help asap!! Currently, I own a Honda Metropolitan 50cc Scooter. Despite being 27, my parents are insanely anally paranoid of me, and it took me years to finally convince them to help me with my license. No, I'm not a bad driver, they really are that paranoid. (I'm diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, which "justified" their fears *eyerolls** So while this scooter is good for me now while I'm on unemployment pay, once I get a job, I intend on switching up to a Ninja 250R. The main reason I don't want to go higher is because I'm trying to avoid a sportsbike that's too heavy or too costly to insure on my first time. The Ninja is pretty much everything I want, fast, good handling, fun, yet practical and decent for longer trips if needed. Now my question is, is it easy to learn on the Ninja 250R? I imagine a low end sportsbike is the best motorcycle to learn on because its handling and acceleration allow you to make split-second moves in emergency scenarios, so I just wanted to make sure that this was true.
