Open Question: 2005 CRF250r Back Disk Brake Issue***HELP***?
ok...so i was riding with a few friends on tuesday last week and my bike was running great until we hit a logging trail...my bike was struggling to get over the logs and trees down and it didnt help that we were going up hill and i had to get of to push it. when i pushed it about the third time on the trail, a branch about 3 inches in diameter came up and got launched at my disk brake from the spokes and since then the brake hasnt worked but has no VISIBLE damage. My fully built 500cc Honda Ascot wont start everythings ok with it i just needed a battery i thought i knew it was getting connection cause when i hooked jumper cables from the van to the motorcycle to the batteries outlets everything worked lights, blinker, ect. now that i have bought a battery hooked it up properly ground and lights to negative and side to positive it wont even light up like its dead the battery was professionally charged and they say it works fine what am i doing wrong? ok i dont have the money for the 1000 dollar supermoto rims and tires, i want to know if it is possible to buy another back rim and replace the front rim. and where can i buy tires that could fit that? or is it possible to fit a set of street tires on the stock rims? i love the regular 17" supermoto look, but realy dont have that money. would the back rim be too wide for the forks? and websites would really help!!! I have a gsxr6 i recently wired the license plate with one of those fender elimantor, i installed new directional lights and new lisence lights as well, i dont know if this has anything to do with the byke dashboard turning off everytime i switch gears.. or when a give it gas on.. like it just turns off and it does it to often. I have a 1986 Honda Nighthawk 700S and when the bike is running, there is no gas leaking. But when I turn it off, gas starts leaking bit by bit for a little bit then stops. i have 2 dirt bikes one is a baja dr125 and a honda crf150. first of all, after a while of riding the baja it started to make a scraping sound in the crankcase i believe and then the noise got so loud i stopped riding it, when i checked the crankcse, a piece actually broke off the left crankcase cover. and the honda is starting to make the same noise but also in the piston chamber and im scared to ride it incase it breaks something.....both the bikes get serviced now and again so it shouldnt be oil problems, any ideas? '01 Honda shadow 750 It was running lean & had sat for a year so I cleaned the carbs & stock jets. Now it runs rich (pulled plugs to verify). About a day or two ago I went on a motorcycle ride and accidentely had my leg on the exhaust pipe for about two seconds. Its a burn thats about two inches wide and two inches long. It started to blister and I went swimming the next day and it got a tiny bit heavier. Now the blister is the same size as the burn and it just looks like a big bubble on my leg (its on my right calf). i was wondering if i should pop the blister or if i should just let the bubble go down on its own (if it can) and how long it would take ??? I would like to what is the best commuter scooter that I can drive on the 405/5 freeway of CA, 30 miles at once, for someone who has no motorcycle skill whatsoever? Additionally, where should I drive in a scooter on the freeway: normal lanes, on the carpool double solid yellow, or inside the carpool lane? Any additional tips are appreciated as well. I do know I need an engine above 250cc and something of 400cc would be more apt. I also have an estimate of the price range compared to a new car. When I bought the bike, the seller turned the ( as what I call it ) idle rpm control knob significantly, and I never thought much of it until of late. Whenever at a stop, my bike is idling around 4k once it's fully warmed up. I don't know much about motorcycles but this seems way too high, first gear goes by way to fast and wants me to up shift during a corner, and that's clearly never going to happen. I read somewhere that 1500 could work, but to me that seems so low, I feel like the bike would simply keln over and die if I had it that low...advice? I have learned to ride on my brothers GSX-R 600, riding it while he has been at college(on almost every day it wasn't too cold or raining.) But now he's back at home and I'm going to get myself something so I can ride with him. But seeing how brand new gsxr/r6/zx6r's are so expensive... I'd like to know what bikes are inexpensive ( <7k ) but still have enough power so I will have fun riding. I only like sport bikes, preferably something 600ish. I just moved to Ohio from MN and have my drivers permit, I was able to ride my motorcycle there as long as I was in before dark, and did not have a passenger.
