The first Yamaha motorcycle was produced in 1955 and sold only in Japan. They began selling their motorcycles in the United States in 1958.

They offer affordable entry-level cruisers all the way up to touring motorcycles. Yamaha is most well-known for their V-Star line of motorcycles.
